The car is equally likely behind any door, and you pick one.

The usual host knows where the car is and always opens a different door with a goat.

Switching wins when your first pick was a goat. With 3 doors that is two times out of three. With 100 doors it is 99 times out of 100. A random host, only in the 3-door game, sometimes reveals the car, and those deals are left out of the score.
